I thought I would challenge myself, perhaps get into  more regular posting and learn something along the way. I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would complete it.

But I did it!

Women just do it better

While the C-5 was turning over its engines, a female crewman gave the G.I.s on board the usual information regarding seat belts, emergency exits, etc.

Finally, she said, 'Now sit back and enjoy your trip while your captain, Judith Campbell, and crew take you safely to Afghanistan '

An old Master Sergeant sitting in the eighth row thought to himself, 'Did I hear her right? Is the captain a woman? '

When the attendant came by he said 'Did I understand you right? Is the captain a woman?'

'Yes,'! said the attendant, 'In fact, this entire crew is female.'

Cupcakes

For no other reason than it is cake, it's chocolate and it has pictures! That,  and the fact you all thought it would be shoes! Ha, I do like to keep you on your toes.

An innocent trip to Oakvale Farm with Master Loges was as usual with him, a learning experience, where he got lost only once, waved to me from the train going by (sheesh!) and generally tried to get into every animal enclosure available.

Apart from that it was a good day out

Mandatory Koala visit!

Aawwww how cute!

(Not local koalas, they actually come mainly, from Blackbutt Reserve  where they are in a breeding programme.) Local Koalas still run free here but this is a good way to get up close and personal. I prefer to see them in their homes.

Wattles brighten my day

 

Well I did say it had been raining! Ducks weather on one side of home

But then! Despite the wind and rain being relentless for days on end a walk out the front door (finally) and the Australian Natives prove they are far more resilient and bring Sunshine to my day

 Not a local but it does pop up all on it's own and it's leaves are fabulous for flower arranging (despite me needing to wear gloves or I get an itch from this one)

Rainy days and food

While enduring record rainfall, stuck inside, unable to go outside I have been inundated with food! 

Some were from my lovely facebook family, others by phone messages and others via email so escaping all these yummies was impossible!

Mouth watering the whole lot of them so grab a chin wipe or 2 and I'll share some, enjoy

Gym? No thank you

Although I have taken to walking nowadays, as opposed to being a high school  basketball state rep 40 something years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give the gym a try.Others do it and talk of how good it makes them feel.

I called the gym and made my reservations with a personal  trainer named Brad , who identified himself as a 26-year-old aerobics instructor and model for athletic clothing and swim wear.

Well, I am a butt person and this increased my  enthusiasm to get started! They encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress. Seems reasonable, besides it also means a new pair of shoes!

Warning: A vent

No, not an advent!

Just a vent.

After surviving (just) the three worst days and nights at Mum's I have ever had, returned home to a dirty house!

Just not fair!

Will be putting Mum into respite  for a holiday. Permanently is not far off but that is a very hard call to make on my own and right now I feel very alone.

Oh My God. I so need these!

How easily do we miss the little things when our mind is not focused on anything 

but the big picture?

I snagged this shots when photographing  something else entirely.

I am so glad I was still looking through the viewfinder.

So amazed at what was before me I thought it deserved a share.

Birthday time

My Birthday 2011

I really am so spoiled!

Lovely messages, phone calls, emails and visitors all made for a delightful day.

 My first one I opened was from my children, and scrape me off the ceiling, pick me up off the floor!Struck dumb (rare occurrence), no words for over 5 seconds . 

Ticket to Captains Tour, Platinum A Reserve no less,

I get to talk to the captains afterwards!

Twins mystery solved

Well people I left it up to dear Mummy to be

to tell me, or not,

She decided on a Happy Birthday to Grandma

Twins scan July 8th

Short, very sweet and straight to the point!

Scan today after lunch,

Text message from them: 

"All Perfect"

What more can I say

Okay people I have until Friday (yep THIS Friday) 

to decide if I want to know the sex of the twins

Ruby Christmas Tuesday

Am i wearing rose coloured glasses today that make the whole world feel good?

Probably!

I had the best start to a Ruby Tuesday that I have had for ever. Well I may exaggerate slightly but, you get the drift.

I woke this morning. a positive. and found I had slept in black socks

I have flannelette sheets and the socks were covered in fluff!

So I sat at the side of the bed and picked it off (Sock Respect Rule No, 36)

and guess what

My bedroom looks like it snowing! How cool!

Four worms and a lesson to be

learned!!!!

A minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon.
Four worms were placed into four separate jars.
The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.

The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.

The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.

The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil.

.A walk to the Supermarket

I see so many things when I walk to the shop, so armed with my phone I will give you a glimpse of what I see in my world on that short walk to the supermarket
