I have not spoken of a couple of my obsessions lately so need a fix, come along for the ride. It will be fun, trust me I am female, I blog and so therefore need no further proof.

Why should we tell our stories

I love to hear of people's lives and the journey that brought them to where they are today.

This Blog is my way of telling some of my life as it flows, stops, coagulates and takes me along many a road. Some of these are bumpy, some are smooth, many turns in others with a few hairpin bends thrown in. All in all I am still on that road and will continue to record and share my travels and hope someone stops me along the way to say "Hi" as I do love a chat.

Everyday shoes

Okay, so we have covered the "Good Shoe" 

so lets move onto

the ones you wear the rest of the time

This is a bit of a minefield when selecting these.

Practicality enters (cringe), durability (yew), uniform (boring) and purpose driven.

Purpose driven gives the most scope for your personality to shine through

so let me explain.

A shoe says a lot about you so do you really want to be known for those $1.69 thongs?

I am hoping the answer was a most emphatic NO. (if not contact me as there is far more for you to learn and a foot makeover is needed urgently!)

I do not wear thongs, ever, on my feet anyway.

Now I hear you say "what about Havvy's" 

Ha! Havaiana's are to thongs as Billabong is to t-shirts and  Peter Alexander is to pyjamas

A t shirt, pair of PJ's and a thong still just that with or without a brand name only non brands have longer fashion life.

So what do I wear?

Mules, as a preferred foot wear

Crocs 

"great for sand, water, mud, bit like the thongs of the Gum Boot world, for kids and not fashionable!" 

Is that what you just said?

Well let me introduce to the wide world of "Crocs"

 Work or Play: these 2 are perfect

 Driving, grocery shopping or visiting relatives

So get down at your feet, they've done a lot of work for a lot of years walking you around,

Well this is long overdue

Anyone who knows me would have expected this to be my first post

if not the only topic on my Blog

Never one to deprive those that admire the good things in life

here we are at last!

 

 This is what I am wearing now

Major trendsetter stuff!

There are rules for shoes and an order in which they are stored

Fanatical? No way!

Organised? Not in my vocabulary!

Practical? Oh Yeah!

There are categories and all shoes fall into a category, just one category ever.

There are "The shoes that kill, but heavens they look good"

This is reserved for those must have ones 

 and is accompanied by a

 Handbag and full set of Bling

and a pair to wear while driving

if I am driving

 but a Limousine could be warranted for these shoes!

Bumper Stickers

Well, I am known for "off the straight and narrow ", "quirky" or simply have too much time on my hands 

but these amuse, fascinate and sometimes, 

although not often,offend .

If you are expecting any profanity, language or similar content then 

stop go back, you have come to the wrong place!

ANZAC DAY Lest we forget

The streets remind us of WW1 veterans with names like Diggers Drive. Navy Nook

Convict built Tanilba house, 1837, was the home of William Caswell who was granted 50 acres in 1831 for his service in the Napoleonic wars.

and so we also have such as President Wilson Walk, Poilus Parade and Clemenceau Crescent

The name means "place of white flowers" and we are blessed with the sight of Flannel Flowers growing wild and heralding in another season.

and our numerous wild flowers that make every season special

so I had better justify myself or be called quackers, not that I mind.

The Boy

Okay so I have explained Dressage with the links to the technical stuff.

Now the real reason for all this is a beautiful boy with an amazing family 
affectionately known as

"The Boy"

His majesty has an extended family and fan club with numerous Facebook Aunties (and Uncles) and we love to hear of his life often.

I am yet to meet him in person

and yet I feel a bond already

This is due to his Mum. her devotion to him and the to the rest of his family

He loves carrots and even had a toffee apple the other day after competing in a 
dressage competition

20 years young with a personality to rival any child
He shares his home with this 22 year old stunner!

A Lycra hood to wear to bed before competition to keep his mane flat
(and no doubt a tail  bag to match)
A hood complete with ear covers
A Fly Mask that cuts out UV rays
as well has the multitude of rugs
including new ones ready for when it is cooler and he has been clipped
Ones for Summer
Winter Coats
Spring Coats
Autumn coats

and then there are the bridles, bits, snaffles, harnesses, grooming equipment,
Hoof care products, saddles, saddle cloths and
all the other paraphernalia that comes with  horses that
would take a page on it's own to list
but
he would not need horse makeup as he is already beautiful!


He keeps his stunning good looks with his massages to keep his muscles in tip top condition



No wonder known as the "poor little rich kid in the neigh- bourhood"

through their Eventing

Rachael Downs and Aphrodite 

and look forward to watching

Hayley Beresford with 13 year old Relampago do Retiro 

 

just to name a few. 

The Olympics, especially, leave me in awe of these 
and I am glued to the television for the duration.

just watching horse and rider as one is amazing.

I did go down to the Sydney 2000 Olympics and
I couldn't decide which events I was going down to see 

but my daughter (who must be obeyed)

decided on Beach Volleyball 

(and 3 others we never did get to) 

as we sat in front of the Sports Illustrated people and spent the rest of our time catching up with what they had seen 

and getting results and comments from their news bus.

Then a shop-a-thon at Bondi

So I missed watching Kirby Park Jester in action

and I have always loved greys!
